GDPR notice for the Client

1. The Controller of your personal data is Paweł Żerański i Wspólnicy sp. k. with its registered office at ul. 2. The Clients’ data will be processed to conclude and perform contracts for legal services under Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR or – data of any parties to proceedings and of authorities – for the purposes resulting from legitimate interests pursued by the Controller or by any third party under Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR. Data of service providers to conclude and perform relevant contracts made with service providers.

3. The data are made available to the administrator’s IT service in order to properly perform the contract for legal services or to conduct proceedings on behalf of the Clients and – in case of the Clients’ data – to the accounting office to properly perform the contract for legal services. In case of the Clients who commission translations required for court proceedings – the data disclosed in those documents are made available to translators. The personal data of the Clients whose judicial or official cases are handled by the Controller are made available to courts and authorities, and the personal data of the Clients whose cases are conducted outside Warsaw are also made available persons acting as a substitute for attorney at law. The personal data (full name, address) of service providers or of the Clients are sometimes provided to the national postal operator (Poczta Polska).

4. The data will be stored for the period of negotiations until their completion or for the period of the contract, i.e. until the last invoice of the Controller is paid and for three (3) years from that date. For the same period the Client’s files are kept in electronic and hardcopy form.

5. You have the right to access, rectify, delete or restrict your personal data.

6. You also have the right to transfer your data, in particular information from the Client Panel (activities, documents). Regardless of this, pursuant to the Code of Ethics for Legal Advisers, the Client has the right to request the legal advisor to refer the case to another legal adviser together with its files and notice on activities carried out so far.

7. You have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, i.e. the President of the Office for Personal Data Protection. 8. Providing personal data is not a statutory requirement but it is necessary to conclude and perform the contract for legal services or conduct proceedings on behalf of the Clients. If you do not provide your personal data, the contract for legal services will not be concluded and performed and proceedings will not be conducted.
